The AGAC hosts great events whether they be gallery walk-throughs, private showings, etc. throughout the year. This page is a running diary of some of these events.

AGAC members had the special opportunity to visit Paulson Bott Press. There they saw the facility and equipment, observed printmaking, and had discussion with artist Christopher Brown about his approach to printmaking. Here is a link to more photos. |
Elizabeth Opalenik and Mordancage Photography
Members were given the rare privilege to see Elizabeth Opalenik demonstrate
the Mordancage technique. Mordancçge involves chemically altering and lifting the image
off a silver gelatin print. Ms. Opalenik employs and supplements the Mordançage process with handpainting, toning,
and other diverse transfer processes to create unique images that convey, in her words, “not
only what is visible to the eye, but also sensed with the heart.”
